Error Opening Encoder Pro

Problem:

An "Error accessing the OLE registry" message appears when opening Encoder Pro for the first time from Medisoft in Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10. This happens because Encoder Pro needs administrator level permission to finish setting up its data connections the first time it is opened. It inherits these permissions from Medisoft upon opening.

Solution:

Right click on the Medisoft icon and select "Run as Administrator" (even if you are already logged in as an administrator). Once you are logged in to Medisoft, open Encoder Pro as normal by editing a procedure or diagnosis code. The program should open completely without any errors. Once Encoder Pro has been opened this way once it will open normally in Medisoft without running as administrator.

If errors continue to appear after trying these steps, download and install a new copy of Encoder Pro. Contact your vendor for more details.
